Cyprus

Should not be missed: The Caribbean in south-east Europe. A bit of a thrill when you look at the map. But you quickly forget that once you’re there.

No matter how hot it is – and it gets damn hot here in summer – Cyprus vibrates with cool vibes. The beaches in the south-east: pure Caribbean. White sand, turquoise blue water, the whole postcard number. Correspondingly a loooot of people around, but that’s the way. With shipwrecks, donkey and camel farms, turtle diving and sculpture parks, there’s always something to do. Not forgetting the last divided capital of Europe, Nicosia. Crossing the border is easy at the moment, and you can’t miss out on a cool Efes on the Turkish side. Cheers!
